About Brynllin Farm

Our Story

Brynllin is a farm dating back to the early 1700s with the original deeds of sale going back to that period still with the house detailing all its owners over the last 300 years.

We breed mainly pedigree Charollais sheep 🐑.

There are two properties that are available to rent for both short and longer breaks. You therefore can stay for a long weekend or a week or more should you wish.

We currently have the 'Dildre' self catering cottage available to rent at present. This is a two king size bedroom property each room with its own bathrooms. There is a separate large lounge with panoramic views over the countryside and to the Cambrian mountains as well as large kitchen diner.

Guests have access to the front terrace area with outdoor seating and use of gas barbecue and a separate side gravelled seating area and access to the elevated section of lawn at the rear.

Guests are permitted to bring their dog but are asked to respect the property and those guests that may follow them after their visit by making sure dogs are clean when being brought into the property. Washing facilities are available should your dog have enjoyed a muddy outdoor experience in the countryside.

Potential customers will find the property on the 'Cottages.com' or 'Wales Cottages.com' site, part of the worldwide Wyndham group who market the property.

Search under the Aberaeron area or Dildre, Bwlchllan wording to find us on the site.

The second property, 'Pencaenant' is also located on the opposite side of the farm drive/yard. This is a detached property and is currently being completely renovated/modernised and is due to be available around early July 2017.

This will be a stonewalled two storey, two king size bedroom each with ensuite large showers.

There is a large kitchen diner and a first floor lounge with logburner and doors leading to terrace where guests can sit/eat outside overlooking the farmland, countryside and mountains beyond.

Guests will also be offered undercover parking should they wish.

Once again, guests will be permitted to bring their dog 🐶.

A great deal of the farm work is undertaken using a variety of vintage farm machinery, part of our hobby of using and maintaining these once cutting edge pieces of machinery from a bygone era which are still highly effective at what they do even today.

'The land is a mixture of flat and gently sloping fields, many of whose boundaries are tree lined to give nature the chance to live side by side with the day to day acticvities of the farm.

There is a section of approximately five acres of woodland which borders the Nantcwnlle river that runs at the northern end of the land. Guests can explore this from the main entrance following the footpath/bridleway that runs at the top Western end of the land and onward on a loop approx 1 1/2miles maximum back to the entrance gate where they started.

Parts of the river cut down into a deep woodland gorge, known as a 'Ceunant' in Welsh. Some sections of this woodland are very steep and slippery and guests are advised to keep to the footpath at all times. Please speak with us if you require to look at other sections that may be off the footpath and we will advise and if possible will try and show other safer routes to take should you wish to explore for the purpose of photography or birdspotting for example.

During lambing time, guests may be allowed to witness some of the day to day work by prior arrangement this applies equally to other times of year such as the making of hay. Please ask, we will always endeavour to allow you to see and feel part of everyday life should you wish to do so.

We will endeavour to post images and videos from Brynllin throughout the year with events from the farm and local area.

Please feel free to contact us on 01974 821224. Please leave a message if no reply. We will always reply.
